MxEasy: Intuitive Control Software For All MOBOTIX Cameras
==========================================================
The intuitively designed user interface of the new MOBOTIX MxEasy offers quick
access to all the main camera functions. This software represents an innovative
new approach to the monitoring and controlling of MOBOTIX cameras. Up to 16 cameras
can be managed using the software’s easy-to-understand layout and four cameras can be
viewed simultaneously. All of the camera settings in MxEasy – such as image section,
zoom, brightness, volume, microphone sensitivity, image storage, connections – are
immediately active and instantly stored to the current camera’s configuration file.
The software’s calendar functions are an innovative tool for managing time-based settings,
for single as well as multiple cameras. For example, it is now possible for the
first time not only to control the recording time according to dates and times,
but also to activate/deactivate the motion sensor, brightness or the microphone
in a time-controlled way.

Easy-to-use video management software

    * Ideally designed for the wide range of functions of the MOBOTIX cameras

APPLICATION STARTUP
=========================================================
	- After *.deb or *rpm Package installation:

		- On some Desktop environments like KDE and GNOME, MxEasy installs
		as a standard application and therefore can be started via the default
		application launcher menus. On KDE and GNOME it can mostly be found
		under Applications->Internet->MxEasy

		- If there is no application entry, MxEasy can be started from the console
		by typing "MxEasy" ( consider capitalization ).

	- After manual *.tar.bz2 installation:

		- After MxEasy was unzipped you can start it via the startup-script usually
		called "startMxEasy.sh".

		- Alternatively you can start MxEasy manually by adding "." to the
		LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. E.g. "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:"${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}".
		Then execute the "./MxEasy" file.

	- SELinux issues:
		- On some platforms it might happen that SELinux policies prevent MxEasy
		from being executed.
		As a workaround you might loosen you SELinux policy to "permissive" or
		turn it off completely. For more information please consider the web page of
		your distribution maintainer.

mDNS / AVAHI - Startupwizard - Initial Camera configuration
===========================================================
	- MxEasy makes use of the Linux Avahi Zeroconf implementation for camera lookup
	and camera network configuration. That means, that the avahi-daemon has to be
	up and running on your local machine while starting up MxEasy to enable automatic
	camera lookup and reconfiguration.

	-The MxEasy camera network setup reconfiguration is only supported for cameras
	with a firmware higher than or equal v3.4.5.18.

	Problems that might occur:
		-MxEasy Startup-Wizard does not find any camera:
			-A firewall might be blocking the mDNS traffic. Make sure the firewall
			does not block any mDNS traffic.
			-The avahi-daemon might not be running or might be hanging.
			Try to restart it manually ( e.g. "/etc/init.d/avahi-daemon restart",
			this has to be executed with root privileges ).

		-My network consists of more than 50 cameras. MxEasy does not find all of them automatically:
			-The Avahi implementation is quite limited regarding number of found services.
			Consequently, it might take a while for MxEasy to find all cameras, though
			there is no guarantee that MxEasy will find all of your cameras.
			Be aware that this is a Avahi implementation issue and not a malfunction of MxEasy.

=========================================================
AUDIO
=========================================================
	- MxEasy makes use of the Portaudio library. Since Version 1.3.2, the portaudio library
	is shipped with the application.
	- Sometimes it might happen that you get a high latency when audio playback is enabled.
	When Audio is enabled soon after the application startup it might happen that the software
	evaluates non-suiting buffer sizes. A workaround would be to wait a certain
	amount of time until you enable Audio playback. The optimal delay varies
	depending on your	system setup.
	- Sometimes the audio buffers do not suit well to your hardware setup. Sometimes
	it is helpful to adjust buffer sizes manually. This can be achieved by inserting
	the following key to the config file: ~/.config/Mobotix/MxEasy.conf

	[SEAudio]
	Stream\framesPerBuffer=[bufferSize]

	where [bufferSize] is an integer product of 2, i.E. 32, ... ,2048

=========================================================
DISPLAY
=========================================================
	- MxEasy is a GUI application which extensively utilizes the graphic hardware
	of your platform. Therefore the proprietary driver for your graphics card is
	supposed to be installed to ensure your hardware is working as good as it can.

	Depending on the hardware support of your operating system, respectively the driver
	you are using some problems may occur. This is most likely a hardware / driver issue.

	Especially with ATI graphic cards it might come to flickering live images and even blank screens.
	In these cases try another driver, if this does not fix the problem you might have to
	change the hardware.

	- It might happen that the tool-tips are fully transparent and therefore totally unreadable.
	In this case you might have to disable "Desktop Effects" or equivalent features
	to make them readable.

	- It might happen that the MxEasy main-window is not able to be maximized. In this case
	you might have to disable "Desktop Effects" or equivalent features to enable the window
	to be resized.

=========================================================
EXPORT
=========================================================
	- MxEasy provides a multitude of export formats.
	If you have problems viewing those it might be that the adequate codec is not
	installed on your system. Try to evaluate which one is missing and install it.
	On many distributions there are codec packs available.
	( i.e. on Ubuntu try "sudo apt-get install ffmpeg" )

=========================================================
UNINSTALLATION
=========================================================
	- MxEasy places some files in your user home directory. It might happen that these
	files persist even after package removal, depending on your package manager.
	You might delete them to clean up your home directory or you might keep them
	for later re-use.
